This role works closely with production, quality, and maintenance teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, troubleshoot process issues, and support continuous improvement initiatives. Responsibilities • Process Development & Optimization• Design, document, and standardize manufacturing processes for welding, metal fabrication, and painting operations.• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance throughput, reduce waste, and improve product quality.• Evaluate and optimize material flow, work cell layouts, and ergonomics. • Production Support• Troubleshoot daily production issues related to welding, fabrication, and painting equipment or process parameters.• Develop and maintain process control documentation (e.g., work instructions, standard operating procedures, PFMEAs).• Provide technical support to operators and supervisors to ensure consistent process performance. • Equipment & Tooling• Specify, evaluate, and implement new equipment, tooling, and fixtures for improved efficiency and safety.• Work with maintenance and vendors to ensure proper setup, calibration, and preventive maintenance of equipment.• Monitor equipment performance and suggest upgrades or modifications as needed.• Quality & Compliance• Collaborate with the Quality department to establish process controls and ensure compliance with industry standards (AWS, ISO, etc.).
