With nearly 75 years of experience, The Champion GSE produces large, heavy\u2011duty welded steel and aluminum structures designed for long service life and demanding operational environments.&nbsp;<\/p><p>As part of&nbsp;Dedienne&nbsp;Aerospace\u2019s continued growth in the U.S. market, The Champion GSE is expanding and standardizing its automated welding operations across multiple single\u2011robot welding cells. This position is designed to evolve into a Senior \/ Lead Welding Robot Programmer role, supporting long\u2011term automation strategy, standardization, and industrialization.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>POSITION SUMMARY<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2><p>The Welding Robot Programmer is responsible for programming, commissioning, maintaining, and optimizing robotic welding cells used in container manufacturing. In addition to production support, the role works closely with Design Engineering and Methods \/ Manufacturing Engineering teams to define welding sequences, processes, and tooling concepts optimized for robotic welding.&nbsp;<\/p><p>This position supports both new product introduction and ongoing production, working closely with manufacturing, welding engineering, and maintenance teams to ensure safe, repeatable, and efficient robotic welding operations.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><br><strong>ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS<\/strong>\u00a0<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Program, debug, and optimize single\u2011robot welding cells using Fanuc robot programming language.<\/li>\n\n<li>Develop accurate robot weld paths, motion sequences, tool orientations, and speed parameters for large container assemblies.<\/li>\n\n<li>Collaborate with Design Engineering to ensure parts and assemblies are suitable for robotic welding (accessibility, tolerances, weld joint design).<\/li>\n\n<li>Work with Methods \/ Manufacturing Engineering to define welding sequences, takt time objectives, and robot\u2011friendly processes.<\/li>\n\n<li>Contribute to the definition and validation of welding fixtures, tooling, and positioners in coordination with engineering teams.<\/li>\n\n<li>Commission new robotic welding cells and support production start\u2011up and ramp\u2011up.<\/li>\n\n<li>Perform robot touch\u2011ups and program modifications to support daily production across multiple cells.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Standardize robot programs, naming conventions, and programming methodologies.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Optimize cycle time, arc\u2011on time, robot utilization, and weld repeatability.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Troubleshoot robot alarms, motion issues, and automation\u2011related welding defects.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Provide on\u2011the\u2011floor technical support to manufacturing teams.<\/li>\n\n<li>Maintain robot program backups, documentation, and revision control.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Ensure robotic welding operations comply with safety rules and internal procedures.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><p><\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>JOB REQUIREMENTS<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/h2><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Technical degree, associate degree, or equivalent experience in robotics, automation, welding, or industrial manufacturing.<\/li>\n\n<li>Strong hands\u2011on experience with Fanuc industrial robot programming,\u00a0such as Fanuc M710ic\/12L with R30iB+ controller.<\/li>\n\n<li>Experience with robotic arc welding processes (GMAW\/MIG, FCAW, or TIG).<\/li>\n\n<li>Experience programming robots for\u00a0large, welded\u00a0structures or heavy fabrication.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings, weld symbols, and fixture designs.\u00a0<\/li>\n\n<li>Familiarity with welding fixtures, positioners, and production manufacturing environments.<\/li>\n\n<li>Minimum 3\u20135 years of experience programming industrial robots in a production setting.<\/li>\n\n<li>Experience in aerospace, GSE, defense, or heavy manufacturing preferred.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>COMPENSATION &amp;
